1. Fire Safety

• Locate fire extinguishers & exits before starting shifts.
• Do not obstruct fire doors or corridors.
• On alarm, evacuate calmly to the assembly point.

2. Emergency Protocols

• Call 000 for life-threatening emergencies.
• Notify the Chief Warden via radio or PA immediately.
• Assist others if safe to do so, then await instruction.

3. Safe Manual Handling

• Assess loads: bend knees, keep back straight, team-lift heavy items.
• Use trolleys or carts whenever possible.

4. Electrical Safety

• Only use RCD-protected, outdoor-rated leads.
• Inspect equipment & cables before use.

5. Working at Heights

• Use approved ladders or platforms; maintain three-point contact.
• Ensure the area below is clear before ascending.

6. Crowd Management

• Keep pathways and exits unobstructed.
• Report any unruly behaviour to security immediately.

7. Personal Protective Equipment

• High-visibility vests at all times during setup/bump-out.
• Closed-toe, non-slip shoes and ear protection near speakers.

8. Incident Reporting

• Report all near-misses and injuries within 24 hours.
• Use the incident form at the Stage Manager’s desk.
